    Would normal rum suffice for the Malibu Rum? Or would you have another suggestion to substitute it for?
    (I don't really want to go out and buy a whole bottle of Malibu just to try this drink)

      You need a coconut rum (which is what Malibu is). There are plenty of cheaper alternatives for coconut rum.

      You may be able to use normal rum mixed with coconut cream.
